As we leave 2014 wondering things like: what will the world will be like without Robin Williams, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Richard Attenborough, and Maya Angelou; what would motivate young men to shoot a child or cut a man’s head off; how come the technology exists to find my iPhone but not a 100 ton plane with hundreds of people aboard; and how can people go to jail for accidentally killing someone but uniformed police aren’t even charged for killing as a first resort?

Don’t forget that there is also great good in the world, that no one is completely good or bad, that each of us is capable of doing  great good—if we choose.  The greatest acts of evil are not committed with violence but with indifference.

My hope is that in 2015 you will give up being resigned and complacent and that you will act for something you care about.

What do you care about?

That’s the only question that will ignite passion for ambition.

My wish for you in 2015 is that you get in the game, take action for something that’s important to you, put some chips in the game and play to win.

I guarantee you one thing: even if you don’t win what you played for, you’ll win something and that something might be even better than what you wanted.

Stay hungry my friend.
